This week is National Gardening Week 2014!
National Gardening Week (14-20 April) is set to be bigger and better than ever before, with over 200 gardening events taking place with charities, parks, gardens, shops and museums getting involved up and down the country. From demonstrations and talks to garden games and scarecrow making – there is something for everyone and everyone will be talking about gardening.
Visit www.nationalgardeningweek.org.uk for details.
An exciting roster of organisations, charities and companies are getting involved this year with the likes of the V&A, Amazon, the National Trust, Dorling Kindersley and many many more, joining in and helping to promote, celebrate and encourage gardening and gardeners during the week.
RHS Britain in Bloom is starting off the week and celebrating its 50th anniversary by inviting RHS ambassador for community gardening Nick Knowles, and RHS Gold medal winning garden designer Adam Frost, along to a community garden in Liverpool to sow the first of the half a million sunflower seeds that will be planted over the Week by volunteer gardeners to celebrate the golden anniversary of the campaign.
The RHS Gardens will be running a programme of events for gardeners old and new. Plus the RHS has organised a week of competitions and giveaways on Twitter @The_RHS
It is like Christmas in Spring!
